DANVILLE - Linda L. (Kern) Vacketta, 88, passed from this life on Feb. 12, 2025, at home in Danville, surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born on March 3, 1936, in Danville, to Arthur and Mary (Rippon) Kern. Joe Cruppenink became the only dad Linda knew after his marriage to her mother, when Linda was a young child. Linda grew up in Westville, graduating from Westville High School in 1954. Linda married Theodore J. (Ted) Vacketta in 1954, and they were just short of celebrating 63 years of marriage when Ted passed away on Feb. 19, 2017.   Linda is survived by her children, Cydra Christensen of Danville, Ted Jr. (Betsy) Vacketta of Danville, Gregor Vacketta of Danville and Carla (Rich) Henry of Urbana. Grandchildren include, the Reverend Jessica Vacketta of San Mateo, Calif., Tove (Justin) Adams of Danville, Leslie (Greg) Schebler of Livermore, Calif., and Catie and Sara Henry of Urbana. Great-grandchildren are Lily, Penny and Theo Schebler of Livermore, Calif., and Sofie Adams
